Stella Senior Session/ Funks Grove, IL
I look back and see myself figuring things out, but the beauty of that discovery is precious. The friendships I made that I still have… the music I discovered that I still like… the places I worked that gave me confidence(and 15 extra lbs—Potbelly cookies— I blame you!) Senior year is that year where you’ve finally figured yourself out, right before you go start over into the next chapter.
I have ALWAYS loved doing senior photos. I’ve always loved high schoolers. Maybe it’s my own nostalgia from my high-school days. I did indeed love high school! And Stella is there y’all. She loves the Beach Boys and ABBA. She runs for fun(cross country girl). She’s involved at church. She won’t make a silly face when asked because that is not who she is, LOL. She knows herself! She is beautiful. Without further ado… STELLA.
Abigail&Tyler Downtown Bloomington Engagement
It was magic for this old Chicago-urban-loving girl :) As much as I love natural beauty, I thrive on the history, character and color in urban backdrops. YOU KNOW. Colorful is kinda my thang ;)
This summer, I met a lady at the park with my kids(my kids were playing with her granddaughter, and as we chit-chatted, she told me her granddaughter’s mother and how she was planning a wedding for next year in Peoria. I simply told her that I happen to be a wedding photographer but was mostly shooting for another business(shoutout to Schilling Photography in Peoria!). I gave her my own info, not expecting much to come from it, but Abby emailed me the very next morning, and here we are! For sure the coolest way I got connected with a sweet couple! Abby found some inspiration photos for the engagement session and we decided on downtown Bloomington.
